Each book in this limited edition set represents the unique perspective of an internationally acclaimed architect for the San Jose sustainability renewal initiative. Custom printed linen covers and the individually unique layout design of each book expresses not only the innovative architecture but the spirit and harmony created by its respect for Nature. The collection is an anthology of beauty and purpose in design.

The Energy Hub, designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, encapsulates sustainable design and human synergy to form a typology alive with energy. Designed with ecological and social sustainability in mind, The Energy Hub is a magnetic gathering place with community at its core. At the heart of the structure is an urban room, a wide open space that invites community and collaboration. The building has been carefully designed for maximum energy efficiency, harnessing the power of integrated photovoltaics to help reduce external energy intake. Vivid holographic foil floods the end pages, forming a metaphor for the energy pulsing through the architecture.

"Harnessing the power of human synergy, the electricity of those that enliven The Energy Hub and the environment that surrounds them come together as a current with exponential magnetism, to grow from quantum to continuous."

The topology of the blue is featured prominently throughout the book, a vibrant symbol of electricity. From the rich linen cover wrap and vivid floods of colour on the interior pages to luxe edge painting, its repetition becomes synonymous with The Energy Hub. Voluminous, rounded typography was selected to reflect the distinct curvature of the architecture and the spirit of sustainable innovation. Chapter breaks are defined by soft gradients of vibrant blue light. The gradient light source rotates on each chapter break spread as the reader flips through the book, a metaphor for the sun rotating around the structure. The oblong footprint of the building evolves throughout the book to represent The Energy Hub's floorplan that gradually changes from the ground floor to the rooftop of the cutting-edge structure.
